DIY PINE CONE GARLAND

November 10, 2013

Materials
Pine cones
Screw eye hooks (I found mine at Home Depot)
Twine

Instructions
Screw an eye hook into the top of each pine cone. You can twist it in using your hand. If needed, pliers can be used to screw the hook in.
Cut a long piece of twine (measure to the length of the mantle, doorway, etc.), leave extra twine so that you can add pine cones to the twine as necessary
String one pine cone to the end of the twine and tie a single knot around the eye hook (while holding the twine in one hand, take the other end of the twine and loop it around the eye hook, as if you're about to tie a shoe)
Move down the twine tying the pine cones at regular intervals (mine are about 4 inches apart) until your garland is complete!
Hang using thumb tacks or nails
